Snow in Italy – brownie and sorbet #teamsaxotinkoff #giro

When one thinks of Italy in may, one thinks of flowers, nice warmth and ohh the giro – but, that is apparently not reality! Giro stage 19 is cancelled due to WAY WAY WAY to much snow – Seriously ?? in may?? What is up with this earth !!

So what happened was this, breakfast was served, everyone was sitting around the table stuffing them selves to get ready  for a freezing, long and hard stage – but then the news came – stage was cancelled!! No one had ever tried that before, so automatically this turned in to the 3rd rest day of the giro, so so so close to the end of it all – how crazy is that.

Giro 2013-8676

This year the Transfers has been long for everyone, and you can sure feel that now 25 days into the working month – for sure If I could I would sleep a good 12-14 hours straight – but in stead of a nap, I write an entry for you guys :) !!!

All though the weather is not as “planned” Giro is going pretty well:

Buttom line right now is : WE HAVE THE WHITE JERSEY AND RAFAL ROCKS!!! No. 6 in the GC, how awesome is that !

Giro 2013-8643Giro 2013-8672

The riders has been asking for brownie over and over and over again, and so when Rafal took the White jersey on the mountain time trial the only right thing to do was Brownie, creme anglaise and strawberry sorbet from our amazing (I’m in love) Pacojet!!

Today, Friday Saxo Bank also released a new video on their site saxocycling.com – the Kitchen edition check it out !!!

Sunday we go back to Copenhagen, and have a few days home before criterium dauphine libere starts!

Enjoy the sun if you have any where you are :)
