moroccan meatballs in Bilbao #teamsaxobanktinkoffbank #vuelta2012 #dailystews

Felt slightly like a real truck driver today: sweaty, tired and old – plus i was going by truck to the next hotel in Bilbao. Just under two hors of driving we arrived to the center of Bilbao – what an awesome place: There is the weirdest mix of architecture, old art nouveau next to 1970 concrete style houses and everything surrounds a river. I really would like to go back to Bilbao on my own time – very interesting place. There is a festival in Bilbao, so the whole town is Partying all day and night long, again I wish I could go – but I have to work another 19 days so that is probably a really bad idea – therefore I decided to write my blog instead after watching 30 min. of non stop fireworks – pretty cool!

Earlier on I went for a walk down to the Guggenheim of Bilbao – crazy building with a giant floral dog in front and a enormous brass spider in the back, thats Art for you ! Well it was cool to see the place and it’s surroundings. On the way back we (I met Troels on the way back)  went in to El corte Ingles to get some nice rice and veggies and then back to to truck to cook.

Tonights Dinner:

  • Cous cous, with apple, carrot, red cabbage, figs and toasted hazel nuts in an orange dressing
  • ceacar salad
  • marrocan meatballs in spiced tomato sauce
    , yoghurt and mint dressing
  • red bean dip with Tahini
  • chicken and sweet red onion
  • rice and pasta
  • Fruit

That’s all folks – bedtime NOW !

  1. De ser fantastiske ud de kødboller. Heldige ryttere at få så god mad hver dag – men de har selvfølgelig også i den grad gjort sig fortjent til det :-)

    Mange hilsner
